dc.description.abstractEl propósito de la investigación fue identificar el nivel de estereotipos negativos hacia las personas mayores en los estudiantes y docentes de la Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud de la universidad UCINF. La metodología consideró un enfoque cuantitativo, con un tipo de estudio descriptivo y un diseño no experimental, de tipo transversal. En general, los resultados evidenciaron que el 28,7% de los estudiantes encuestados presentan un alto y muy alto nivel de estereotipos negativos y un 13,3% de los docentes; los estereotipos mayoritariamente presentes en los estudiantes y docentes son los relacionados con la motivación y el carácter. La presencia de estereotipos negativos en estudiantes y docentes en la muestra no difiere de otros estudios similares por lo cual se sugiere implementar la asignatura específica relacionada con el envejecimiento como es la gerontología.es_ES
dc.description.abstractThe purpose was to identify the level of negative stereotypes toward the elderly in students and teachers of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University UCINF. The methodology considered a quantitative approach with a kind of descriptive study and a non-experimental design, transversal. Overall, the results showed that 28.7% of students surveyed have a high and very high level of negative stereotypes and 13.3% of teachers; mostly stereotypes present in students and teachers are related to motivation and character. The presence of negative stereotypes in students and teachers in the sample does not differ from other similar studies which suggested implementing specific subject related to aging such as gerontology.
