dc.description.abstract | La existencia de personas que continúan trabajando a pesar de alcanzar la edad legal de retiro laboral no ha sido un tema de mayor relevancia, pues ha sido asociado a necesidades básicas que demandan el mantenerse vigente en actividades que generen ingresos económicos. Dentro de este grupo existen personas que, a pesar de no tener necesidad, deciden voluntariamente el posponer su retiro. Estas personas han sido nombradas como la Generación U del inglés “unretired” o “no retirado”, y cuyas motivaciones abarcan factores individuales y compartidos, donde el trabajo adquiere una significación propia asociada tanto a la necesidad de crecimiento personal como a la de otorgar un sentido a su existencia, y que encuentra su contraparte a través de la percepción social positiva y negativa asociada al retiro. Dentro de estas significaciones, la decisión de retirarse adquiere un sentido vital para una persona, pues implica un antes y un después en su ciclo de vida, y cuya percepción individual y social podrá ser la base para el desarrollo de un escenario de crecimiento o de restricción vital. | es_ES |
dc.description.abstract | The existence of people who keep working although they have reached the legal age to retire, have been an underrated issue through history due to it has been related to basic needs that demands to keep working on activities that results on financial incomes. Within this group there are people whose lives needs are not connected to economic factors but have decided to keep working. They have been named as the U Generation (for “unretired”), whose motivations are related to individual and shared factors where work acquires its own significance associated to personal growth and giving a sense of existence, and that also finds its counterpart through the positive and negative social perception related to the retirement. Among these significances, the retirement decision acquires a vital sense as it implies a before and a after of a person´s life cycle and which individual and social perception could be the pillar for the development of a growth or restricted scenario. | |
