| es_ES |
dc.description.abstract | De viris illustribus, an illustrious men catalogue written by Gennadius of Marseille, lastly in the fifth century, trailing after Jerome’s homonym tractate, is closed with certain brief notes of self-referential character. These notes, basically a list of works allegedly written by Gennadius, pose unpostponable questions as neither the handwritten evidence nor the later settings of Gennadius’s legacy prove the truthfulness of such bibliographic data. This work inquires then on the authenticity of that discourse, and the situation in this frame of De dogmatibus ecclesiasticis, text identified by broad consensus as gennadian. | |
