The Gabriela Mistral University Library has developed the following Academic Repository in order to preserve, disseminate and make available the full-text contents of the academic production developed by the different actors in the academic and research field of the University.

dc.description.abstractEl presente trabajo tiene por finalidad abordar dos propuestas educativas como son el Sistema Preventivo, planteado por San Juan Bosco – sacerdote italiano, fundador de la congregación salesiana -, y la denominada Pedagogía de la Liberación, del pedagogo latinoamericano Paulo Freire – pedagogo de orientación marxista -, con el objeto de exponer y analizar crítica y comparativamente algunos aspectos centrales de ambos modelos. Ambas propuestas, ampliamente difundidas y conocidas en el campo educativo, tienen aspectos comunes, pero difieren en otros ámbitos que las sitúan en horizontes diametralmente opuestos. ¿Cuáles son estos puntos de encuentro y de diferencias?, es lo que se pretende dilucidar en este artículo que busca confrontar dos modelos educativos presentes en el ámbito de la educación contemporánea.es_ES
dc.description.abstractThe present work has as purpose to address two educational proposals, such as the preventive system proposed by San Juan Bosco, an Italian priest, founder of the Salesian Congregation, and the so-called pedagogy of liberation of the Latin American pedagogue Paulo Freire, of marxist orientation, in order to expose and analyze critically and comparatively some central aspects of both models. Both proposals widely known and spread in the educational field have common aspects, but differ in other areas that place them in diametrically opposite horizons. These points of encounter and difference is what this article tries to clarify, which seeks to confront two educational models existing in the field of contemporary education.
